BUCKS COACHING SCHEME

I am after help - only for a couple of weeks but it really is worthwhile.

The short explanation is that there is a scheme underway to help pay for part time sports coaches in schools (6 or so hours a week) in our local area. Over 3 years the county will basically match our contribution as a club, providing that coach for Juniors into the local schools. The coach would represent us at the school so would

(1) Get our name into the community more at Junior level
(2) Help Hockey in Bucks at lower age groups
(3) Potentially bring new members to our club
(4) Set up a good network for coaching hockey in the community based at our club to add to the brilliant work that the Junior section already do!

And all sorts of other worthwhile benefits.
However to do this we need to find partners at the schools etc. to help raise money, speak to the local schools and other clubs in the area to form a working network. I need some volunteers to form a small committee for a few weeks to get this done before mid-September.

I have more details that I can give, and I know people are busy (especially with help on the Party in Park etc.), but this would provide a really good benefit to a lot of people. The amount of work won't be a great deal, a few phone calls, a couple of meetings - and so so worthwhile. I will provide more details to those interested and try (badly) to answer questions / clarify as the discussion builds.

NEW HOME KIT

Due to problems with suppliers the Committee are looking to change the home strip, and through a long process have decided on one of two tops. These are designed to keep a similar Club Colour, and will be able to be used alongside the current kit as they are reasonably similar. There is currently a Poll on the Forum where pictures of the kit can be seen.

It is also hoped that samples will be at the Party in the Park for people to view there, so do come down to look!
