Club: Minutes, 15th November, 2006
- Present: Dan Webb (chairman), Mudho Ahmed, David Banner, Tony Hewston, Phil Noot, Andy Parsons, Murray Scott, Matthew Stevenson, Chris N. Yoxall
- Apologies: Saqib Ahmed, David Peters, Rahul Punj
Matters Arising
- 3rd XI in TVCL, 2007: As anticipated in the previous meeting, it was decided that we could not commit to a 3rd XI in the TVCL next season.
- Annual Dinner, Friday, 24th November: Andy Parsons reported that he was finalizing plans for next week’s event; the response has been good and he expects over 60 people to attend.
Ground Report
- Mole problem: David Banner reported that he had killed one mole - but, unfortunately, another one has appeared.
Cricket Report
- TVCL AGM: The various proposals from the TVCL management committee and member clubs were discussed; Matthew Stevenson said that he would attend the meeting, on Wednesday, 6th December, at Slough C.C., on the club’s behalf, if the 1st XI captain, Saqib Ahmed, is not available.
- TCSL AGM: Mudo Ahmed will attend this meeting, on Wednesday next week, 22nd November at Aston Rowant C.C., on the club’s behalf.
- Committee positions: Matthew Stevenson said that he anticipated several vacant positions at the AGM in February, namely, Fixture Secretary, Saturday 2nd XI Captain and 3rd XI Captain; Dan Webb said that position of Selection Manager should become a formal committee role elected at the AGM; Tony Hewston suggested that each team should also formally appoint a Vice Captain.
- Indoor nets: Tony Hewston will organize some indoor practice sessions at Chalfont Leisure Centre for February and March.
Fixtures Report
- Fixture secretary: Dan Webb reported that this position was still vacant.
Treasurer’s Report
- Current balance: Murray Scott reported that the current balance was approximately £1500.
- Indian Barbecue: Dan Webb reported that the £120 of monies outstanding from this event (£60 owed by both Zamir Khan and Mudho Ahmed) had still not been paid in - Mudho Ahmed promised to sort this out be next week at the latest.
Fund Raising Report
- Future events: Andy Parsons reported that the Casino Night has been re-arranged for the spring - to coincide with the end of the hockey season and the beginning of the cricket season; forthcoming events include the Christmas party and a Quiz Night in February.
