Matters Arising
• ECB Coaching Courses: Rahul Punj said that he hoped to book a place on an
ECB coaching course in Middlesex - unfortunately, all the places on the
Bucks courses have now been taken up.
• New practice facility: the next step is to dig out the foundations;
provisional costings have been communicated to the CPSA board.
• Fixture booklets: in the absence of Zamir Khan there was no further
progress to report.
• Match Fees: Murray Scott presented a breakdown of match fees for the 2005
season (see Treasurer’s Report).
• Sunday 2nd XI match fees: Dan Webb paid over the remaining money
outstanding to Murray Scott.
• Stoke Green: Matthew Stevenson said that he had not heard any more from
the TVCL re Stoke Green’s appeal.
Cricket Report
• Committee positions 2006: Matthew Stevenson said that he had been
discussing next year’s positions with existing committee members; the three
positions causing concern at the moment are Fixture Secretary, Saturday 1st
XI Captain and Sunday 1st XI Captain.
• Annual Awards 2005: the committee confirmed the annual awards as follows:
o Club batsman: Tahir Rashid
o Club bowler: Shahid Din
o Club fielder: Simon Gooch
o Clubman: Jonathan Lindsay
o Saturday 2nd XI player: Tony Hewston
o Sunday 1st XI player: Zamir Khan
o Sunday 2nd XI player: Jonathan Lindsay
o Outstanding batting performance: Tahir Rashid
o Outstanding bowling performance: Shahid Din
o David Eade award (2nd XI catches): Chris A. Yoxall
o Most promising young player: Asim Ahmed
o Six hit award: Tahir Rashid
• TVCL AGM: Matthew Stevenson said that he would attend this meeting on
Wednesday, 7th December, at Slough C.C. The committee discussed the various
proposals for change.
• Junior Presentation Evening: Keith Neave said that he had arranged a
presentation evening for the juniors on Saturday, 3rd December; Matthew
Stevenson asked all committee members to make every effort to attend this
event and support the junior section.
Ground Report
• Square: David Banner has let it be known that the end of season work has
been completed.
• Ground: in the absence of David Banner there was no report; outstanding
issues remain the quotations for a new storage facility, spraying the picket
fence, protecting the wiring for the electronic scorebox, and cutting down
various overhanging branches.
• Machinery: in the absence of David Banner there was no report, but it is
understood that the mowers need some attention and the bowling machine needs
to be repaired.
Treasurer’s Report
• Match fees: Murray Scott reported that £3949 was raised during the 2005
season, broken down as follows:
o Saturday 1st XI: £918
o Saturday 2nd XI: £1392
o Sunday 1st XI: £758
o Sunday 2nd XI: £719
Fund Raising & Social Report
• End of Season Dinner: Andy Parsons reported that plans were progressing
well for this event on Friday, 25th November, with over 40 people already
confirmed.
