Chalfont St. Peter Cricket Club: Minutes, 14th September, 2005

Present: Matthew Stevenson (chairman), Dave Nolder, Phil Noot, Andy Parsons, David Peters, Rahul Punj, Murray Scott

Apologies: Saqib Ahmed, David Banner, Dan Webb

Matters Arising

• Annual award trophies: David Peters reported that he was now in possession of al the trophies and would get them engraved when the 2005 awards have been finalised.
• Party in the Park: Andy Parsons reported that this had been a great success.
• ECB Coaching Courses: Matthew Stevenson said that Keith Neave had booked his place on an ECB coaching course but Rahul Punj said that he had not booked his place.
• New practice facility: there was another long discussion on this subject; a sub committee, chaired by Dave Nolder and also including Matthew Stevenson, Andy Parsons, Tony Hewston, Chris Yoxall snr and Chris Yoxall jnr, was set up to manage the project; the first work party has been scheduled for this weekend.
• Bar and catering: a new external caterer has been appointed to replace Taylormade.
• Fixture booklets: in the absence of Zamir Khan there was no further progress to report.

Cricket Report

• Review of the season: the 1st XI finished 3rd in Division 2B of the TVCL and the 2nd XI also finished 3rd in Division 5B; the Sunday 1st XI finished 2nd in the MASL but due to an unfortunate sequence of events.
• President’s Day 2005: Matthew Stevenson said that this event had been a great success with a narrow one run victory for the club XI on the day.

Ground Report

• Square, ground and machinery: in the absence of David Banner there was no report.

Finance

• Current balance: Murray Scott reported that the current balance was circa £5400 with approximately £1500 bills to pay.
• Match Fees: Matthew Stevenson asked Murray Scott to circulate a spreadsheet with the details of monies banked and owed etc.; it is thought that they are pretty well up-to-date.
• Annual subscriptions 2005: the outstanding debtors are Neal Collins, Muhammad Kassam, Malcolm Upton and Gareth Noot.

Fund Raising & Social

• End of Season Dinner: Andy Parsons will organise this event on Friday, 25th November.

Next Meeting

• Next meeting: Wednesday, 12th October, 2005, 8.00pm in the clubhouse.
