Apologies: Tony Hewston, Murray Scott, Dan Webb

Matters Arising From Previous Minutes

• TVL ground and pitch markings: we have still not received our annual marks from the TVL.
• TVL AGM report: David Banner has still not published his report.
• Sir Ali memorabilia for the club web page: there has been no progress on this.

Cricket Report

• Overseas players: Nouman Habib will not be returning to the club next season. Discussions are still ongoing with Adnan Khan, the main problem for the club remains accommodation.
• Teas: Sharon Douglas has offered to do the cricket teas on one day a weekend next season, but it is unclear whether she means Saturdays only, Sundays only, or a mixture of both. David Banner will try to resolve this one and report back to the committee within the week.
• Open day: the first Saturday home match of the season, a 2nd XI match against Ashford, on 26th April, will be our open day. David Banner will organise an advertisement in the local paper, and Andy Watts has offered to be on hand to meet anyone who turns up during the day.
• President’s Day: Matthew Stevenson said that he had written to Sam Machin, asking him about his plans for this event, but had not received a reply. Mike Burge will follow this up.
• Hockey section: Simon Gooch will produce a poster to promote the cricket section to the hockey players.
• Match manager: Tony Hewston and Murray Scott (by email) and Martin Cartledge all expressed doubt re the viability of this proposal. It was agreed that the committee needs to find a way of sharing the workload with the general membership, but there were concerns about clubhouse security (keys, locking up properly etc.) and whether people would embrace the idea properly.
• MASL: Matthew Stevenson said that he had attended the AGM of the MASL. The main action point is to purchase some white discs for the fielding circles.

Fixtures Report

• Fixtures: Matthew Stevenson said that he still had one blank date for the Sunday 1st XI and was also looking for at least one more midweek fixture.

Treasurer’s Report

• Current balance: in his absence, Murray Scott let it be known that the current balance is £670, with anticipated bills in the near future from the BCA, £30 and the TVL, circa £450.

Social Report

• Irish Night: this will take place on Saturday, 15th March.
• CPSA Spring Ball: Mike Burge reported that this will take place on Saturday, 26th April, tickets £30 per head. He will enlist the help of the four club captains to promote the event and sell tickets.

Ground Report

• Work party: there will be one final work party, on Sunday, 16th March, to a) clear the practice area and make it usable, b) complete the last two gates for the picket fence, and c) move the electronic scoreboard to a permanent location.
• Square and outfield: these are both looking fantastic at the moment!

Any Other Business

• Next meeting: this will take place on Wednesday, 2nd April, 8.00pm, in the clubhouse.
