CPSA Board Meeting 16th April 2003


Summary of points covered:

- cash position on main account £1162 overdrawn, but lower bar takings expected between hockey and cricket seasons and Golf Day in May should raise £1000

- 12 playing members have not yet paid subs for 2002/03 and some match fees have still to be collected; arrears will have to be paid before even practising next season

- £2100 in bar takings and £400 in hire charges between mid Feb and mid April; 10 events booked up to 24th July

- proposal to allow a nursery to operate at the club is under serious consideration, very much subject to rental offered

- sponsorship from local businesses being sought; proposal to grant year’s free membership to any member securing sponsorship to be published shortly

- Bar Naming ceremony being planned for May

- Spring Ball (26th April) – last few tickets avaiable from Caroline

- more cricket matches than ever planned for the coming season, including a Bucks Advertiser competition that will generate £1000 profit and give the club good media exposure

- access to Alcan ground still being pursued

- new joint CPSA/Community College Astro pitch project being worked up, with 50% lottery funding and raising balance ourselves
