| The
presentation of the 2003 Sports Club AGM presented by Simon Seabrook who
stepped down after seven years hard work. Thank-you for visiting
Chalfont Park Sports Association's web site. We have been
established as a corporate entity since 2000 but have been run since the
middle of the last century with our cricket links. The hockey section
(Chalfont St. Peter Hockey Club) was formed in 1968 by the cricketers who
wanted a winter pastime, with a Squash section added in 1972 (which folded
in 1999).
We had a brand new club house in September 2001 based in the Colne Valley preservation
trust, next to the River Misbourne where we are opening our doors not just
to existing cricket, hockey and other general members, but to the whole
community. Please browse around our links on the left hand side to see
what is going on at the club and how you can get involved.
A history of Chalfont Park
Sports Association, its official roots through the cricket club. This
has been uncovered through recent painstaking research by David Banner from
old records found in Aylesbury and by talking to members going back to the
beginning of the century. Fabulous stuff. |
