Annual General Meeting The AGM will be held on Tuesday 11th June at Chalfont Park Sports Club starting at 8.30 pm. During the meeting the officers of the main committee and captains will be elected / re-elected. There will also be a review of the club's finances and a chance for you to raise any issues you may have. The main committee officers are as follows: - Chairman - Secretary (vacant) - Treasurer - Social Secretary - Publicity / Press Officer (vacant) - Ladies Playing Rep - Mens Playing Rep - 1 General If anyone is interested in helping out in any capacity with the running of the club, then please contact Al Spicer on 07747 643283 or Sarah Birger on 01494 870518/07850 313830. There are many other tasks, for example Social Committee member Tour organisers Team Managers, coaches and general helpers for the Sunday morning colts Umpires County Representative Co-ordinator for weekly press reports OVERDUE SUBSCIPTIONS: For those of you who have not yet paid their subs for last season, please can you send your cheques (to "C.P.S.A.") immediately to: David Peters 1 Western Drive Wooburn Green Bucks HP10 0EN Social Events: Sunday 2nd June - England v Sweden (KO 10:30AM BST) World Cup Brekkies Watch the football at the Club and have breakfast beforehand to provide a lining for drinking and cheering on the lads on the big screen. Breakfast served between 9:00AM - 10:15AM (strict cut off time as cooks are watching the football) with the following options: £5 Full Greasy Spoon Fry-Up £3 Continental Option Monday 3rd June - Jubilee Day Chalfont Common 6pm ACHC are running the beer marquees on behalf of CSP Parish Council Jubilee Committee. Sunday 30th June - Sponsored Bike Ride, World Cup Final & BBQ Again Footy on with KO at Noon and to be followed by a BBQ. In morning a great 26 mile Tour de Chalfont Environs race has been arranged and we're looking for participants now..... Saturday 20th July - Caribbean Evening We have a beach (muchos sand is coming from somewhere), live Caribbean steel band, limbo competition, buffet + rum punch. Tickets will be on sale at the Club from Sunday 2nd June onwards and are priced as follows: £10 each on or before the end of June(30th) £15 each after that date If you would like to attnd any of these events then please contact Al Spicer. Details of the cricket vs hockey match and jazz night to follow…. They are also listed on the Chalfont Park Sports Association web site www.chalfontsports.org.uk or www.gxhc.co.uk/summer (mens) Fitness Training is every Tuesday night 7.15 at the Club. £2 Wednesday 10th July ACHC Ladies are holding an invitational evening for schools to encourage young players to come and watch the seniors play and possibly join in. Saturday 7th September Club Open / Trials Day - more details to be announced nearer the time. CLUB KIT Martin and Sarah Cartledge will be placing new orders for kits towards the end of the Summer for the start of next season. More news on how to order will follow shortly…………… |
