CLUBHOUSE AVAILABILITY On Saturday there will be an external event all day at the clubhouse. This means the upstairs facilities will be unable from 10am to 12 midnight. The changing facilities will still be in available and there will be a satellite bar downstairs outside the changing rooms. Teas will be served downstairs as well. These arrangements should not spoil your after-match activities and is in a very good cause. We hope to raise c£750 from this external event which helps to contribute towards the running of the club. Please support us in this. Best wishes Caroline.

Team: Fyffe; Watson; Bullock, Parker, Brothwell; Ruxton, Teasdale, Shaw, Durkin; Coates, Patterson; Subs: Campbell, Hewitt A&C started their Trysports Division 1 league campaign with a convincing win away to Wallingford. Straight from the start A&C surged forward and could easily have scored a couple goals before they actually opened their account after 6 minutes when Annie Brothwell’s free-hit into the D was met by Laura Patterson. Erin Ruxton showed good skills out on the right and twice broke through and saw her shots go across the face of the goal. Patterson, having been denied when one-on-one with the keeper, then did get the second after 22 minutes after intercepting a Wallingford 16 yard hit-out. Very much against the run of play, Wallingford were awarded a penalty stroke but were unable to take advantage of this. Four minutes before half-time, Caroline Coates made it 3-0 after more good work by Ruxton. Minutes later, Natalie Durkin then set-up Patterson whose sweep went wide. Within a minute of the re-start it was 4-0. Alex Teasdale who had prompted many of the attacking moves in the first-half received a pass from Durkin and shot home from the top of the D. A&C struggled to maintain the fluency that they achieved in the first-half but kept at it and were rewarded with further goals. Firstly after 55 minutes, Coates put Emma Hewitt through on goal who managed to score with her reverse stick from an acute angle. Then, two minutes from time, a ferocious reverse stick strike by Teasdale flew in just under the crossbar to conclude matters.
