ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP - DUE SOON
This is just a quick reminder that your Annual Member to CPSA is due for renewal now, and should be paid by the 31st October. The amount is £115 for adults and £50 for under 21s. If you have any concerns about paying please address them to David Peters or myself. If you pay late, and I urge you to please not do so, then the amount increases substantially. For those that do not play any club sport, the social membership is £30.

Please, please pay your Captains, myself or David Peters as soon as possible (Cheques payable to CPSA), as the administration of this is made much simpler if we get payments quickly at the start of the season. So if you have not yet paid then please bring your cheque-books to your next match or the club this weekend!

Thanks - Warren (Hockey Chairman)

Team: Fyffe; Watson; Bullock, Parker, Brothwell; Ruxton, Shaw, Frick, Durkin; Teasdale, Patterson; Sub. Ferguson.

A&C go into their mid-term break with a 100% start to their Trysports League Division 1 campaign after winning away to West Witney on Saturday. The game began evenly with pressure at both ends but it was the Witney keeper that was called into the first serious action as she made good saves from both Laura Patterson and Alex Teasdale.

The deadlock was broken after 13 minutes when Katy Shaw, taking a pass from a long corner, drove along the baseline into the D. As she dummied to pass the ball back to oncoming forwards, the keeper went down and was then deftly lobbed by Shaw's reverse stick flick. Soon afterwards, Teasdale had another shot saved before Patterson scored the second in the 19th minute after bursting through the defence and shooting past the onrushing keeper.

Goals just either side of half-time sealed the game. Firstly, Teasdale confidently dispatched a penalty stroke and then a fine run and cross by Erin Ruxton was swept home by Annie Brothwell at the top of the D.

The second-half was then pretty much one-way traffic and three times Natalie Durkin drove in from the left hand side only to be denied just a few feet away from the goalmouth. Another good run and cross from Ruxton on the right resulted in Patterson's shot being saved but she was not to be denied her second five minutes from time
