Team: Fyffe; Watson; Bullock, Parker, Ferguson; Ruxton, Shaw, Brothwell, Durkin; Coates, Patterson; Sub. Hewitt, Peters.

A&C made it three league wins out of three when they won away to Reading in the Trysports League Division 1 on Saturday. Reading however might consider themselves a bit unlucky as they found Tanya Fyffe in inspired form in goal for A&C. Several times in the first-half, Reading split the defence open and but for Fyffe's alertness off her line A&C could have been trailing at the interval.

Due to some wayward passing, A&C did not actually manage to launch their first attack until the 12th minute of the game but with it they scored a fabulous team goal. Lynda Bullock played a long pass deep into Reading's half which everyone thought was going out of play and would have done but for Laura Patterson's speed. A pull-back to Erin Ruxton was immediately squared to Caroline Coates who in turn passed the ball into the D where Patterson deflected the ball wide of the goalie for Natalie Durkin to score. Patterson was denied twice in the first-half by former A&C 'keeper Jenny Sawyer.

A&C improved after the interval helped by Ruxton starting to impose herself on the game in the middle of the pitch especially with one fine run that ended with her shot being deflected wide. Emma Hewitt was had a shot saved by Sawyer but while there was only one goal in it Reading still posed a threat going forward and Catherine Watson helped thwart many of their attacks.

A&C finally sealed the game with two goals by Patterson in the last ten minutes. The first followed Annie Brothwell driving towards the D and slipping the ball forward to Coates whose pass was deflected in. Six minutes later, a fierce sweep by Bullock from a penalty corner was touched in on the line.
