VACANT ROLES
This season we have lots of great volunteers running the section and I am pleased to say we don't have many roles vacant. The following are roles that we are keen to fill to support the growth and expansion of the Junior Section:
Welfare Officer - To be the first point of contact for staff, volunteers, parents, children and young people where concerns about child welfare, poor practice or child abuse are identified. To basically assist in the club's responsibilities to safeguard children and young people.
First Aid Kit Convenor - Basically ensuring that all first aid kits are complete and in date and that all teams have one to take with them to matches. To keep a record of who was first aid kits.
Social Secretary - This is basically to help organise some social events for the kids throughout the season, it can be as many or as few events as is manageable.
U12 Boys Manager - Essential role if we want to be able to offer the U12 boys fixtures this season - just going along to matches as support and encouragement is the main role, and organising teams for fixtures.
Secretary - Such an important role to ensure the section runs smoothly. Busy for a few weeks at the start of the season with membership forms, then just managing the database throughout the season.
School Link Officer - A small role, liaising with local primary and secondary schools promoting the club to the children via posters, leaflets etc. Building links with key staff.
Press Secretary/Marketing - A fun job that doesn’t take much time. Liaising with press to attend key events and functions, submitting match reports to papers.
U12 Girls Manager - Essential role if we want to be able to offer the U12 girls fixtures this season - just going along to matches as support and encouragement is the main role, and organising teams for fixtures.
U16 Girls Manager - Essential role if we want to be able to offer the U16 girls fixtures this season - just going along to matches as support and encouragement is the main role, and organising teams for fixtures.

ADMINISTRATION & SUBSCRIPTIONS
A membership is available to download or please email
to request one. It is essential that every child has a completed form returned to me, along with the annual subscription. This will allow me to update the records and distribute the correct details to the Team Managers and Coaches in case you need to be contacted in an emergency. It will also allow us to keep you informed on Club events and information.
Please pay particular attention to both sides of the form as we need your approval to distribute contact information to Team Managers. We are also hoping to have more coverage (including photographs) for use in local press, club newsletters &website and also for the clubhouse gallery! Photographs will be of squads or action photos in matches, not of individual players - however we need your approval to take these.
| Whole Season | | £60.00 |
| Half Season | | £35.00 per ½ season |
Cheques should be made payable to 'Chalfont Park Sports Association'. Subscriptions are due by 1st October 2007.
Match fees are £2.00 for all games outside normal training times. These are payable to the Team Manager on the day.
PERSONAL EQUIPMENT
It is important to wear appropriate clothing and equipment to training and matches. Good shin pads and mouth guards are essential, we do not allow players to participate in training or matches without both of these. Many players also wear protective gloves. Goal keepers should discuss personal protection with the coaches, although we will provide the basic equipment (kickers, pads, helmet, gloves and chest pad). We have a few spare sticks for you to borrow if you forget yours or don’t have your own. ACHC shirts will be provided for the league games if you don’t have your own. Please ensure that you come suitably dressed for poor weather conditions for both training and matches.
FIXTURES AND RESULTS
These are regularly updated on the Fixtures section of the main website.
HOCKEY KIT
We will be doing a shirt order for home and away shirts, so please watch out for details of the order coming round to you by email. ACHC socks are available from PlaySport in Chalfont St Peter High Street, priced £6 a pair. Our club wears navy shorts/skirts - also available from PlaySport or most sports retailers.

CHALFONT PARK SPORTS ASSOCIATION
Our hockey club is part of Chalfont Park Sports Association, based at Chalfont Park, Chalfont St Peter (just off the A413, next to Gerrards Cross Golf Club). Juniors are members of CPSA and as such have access to the facilities of the clubhouse.
The club runs 6 men’s teams (including a Vintage team) and 5 Ladies teams on Saturdays. Adult club training for men takes place on Tuesday nights from 8.00pm to 9.30pm at Newlands Park Astro. The Ladies all train at Beaconsfield High School on Tuesday nights 8.00pm to 9.30pm. Older juniors, who are looking to move up to adult hockey, are welcome to join the adult club training sessions free of charge and get involved with the Saturday adult teams (N.B. Saturday match fees are £5 for U18s). If you think you might be interested in this then please speak to one of the coaches or Emma.
